Medway Bridges Trail Festival

Medway Trail Club is hosting the second annual Medway Bridges trail festival, a celebration along Medway’s Link Trail, with themes and activities at its eleven bridge locations.

The festival will be Sept. 24, 2-5 pm, rain date the following day. Activities for all ages: story telling at the Billy Goat Bridge; an exhibit of nature-inspired artworks and a naturalist at the Dave Hoag Boardwalk wetlands viewing platform; a historic interpreter and fiber crafts; interactive music activities; nature activities; free veggies for kids from Medway Community  Farm, to name a few.

There will be snacks, live music, and opportunities to learn about restoring, protecting, and improving trails and open spaces.

The festival began last year to increase awareness and use of Medway’s trails, to increase safety and enjoyment by assigning engaging names, themes, and information panels to each bridge location, and to provide community organizations permanent outdoor venues for arts, music, regional and natural history. Another goal was to promote inclusion by celebrating the native people who first came to the area and all people who have made contributions to and continue to shape our community today.

Come join us for a beautiful walk on Sept. 24! Parking at Medway High School, Adams Meadow, Adams Street power line easement. More details forthcoming through Medway Trail Club Facebook, Town of Medway and Medway Open Space Committee.
