Millis and Medway Recreation Departments receive state awards

Both the Millis and Medway Recreation Departments receive awards at the Massachusetts Recreation and Park Association (MRPA) annual state conference in March.
Millis Recreation Department received the “Regional Community Impact of the Year” award. This award is given to a town or city that is a member of MRPA that has provided outstanding service and dedication to their community. The town or city will be nominated by someone in their MRPA region. Each region will be represented and will have a town or city given an award. Congratulations to Kris Fogarty, Director and Erin LeBlanc, Teen Program Coordinator.
Julie Harrington, Director of Medway Parks and Recreation received the “Community Professional of the Year” award. This award is given to a member of MRPA that has provided outstanding service and dedication to their community and continues to improve the field of park and recreation. This person can serve in any specialty area within the park and recreation industry.
