Ana Hurley Named Principal at Millis Middle School
Ana Hurley has been appointed as Principal for Millis Middle School. Hurley, a Medfield resident, is currently serving as Assistant Principal at Wellesley Middle School. Hurley was selected from a pool of over 30 candidates to lead the school. Prior to her work in Wellesley, Hurley was a long time teacher and administrator at Dover-Sherborn Middle School.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Emory University, a Master’s degree in Mind, Brain, and Education from Harvard University, a Master’s degree in Field-based Education from Salem State University, and a Master’s degree in Educational Administration from Endicott College. Hurley has made presentations at the STREAMS Environmental Literacy Conference, the New England League of Middle Schools, the National Council of Teachers of English, and the Massachusetts Association of Science Teachers.
“We are excited to have such an outstanding instructional leader taking the helm at Millis Middle School,” said Millis Superintendent, Bob Mullaney. “Ana brings an extensive background as an outstanding teacher and effective administrator. She is an educator who is deeply committed to supporting the academic and social-emotional growth of all students. We look forward to Ana joining the Millis Public Schools.”
Hurley will assume the position of Millis Middle School Principal on July 1, 2023.
