This Spring the Medway Community Farm (MCF) acquired a hay wagon to resurrect hayrides in Medway.  Right now it is just four wheels and a flat top and it will be transformed into a full hay wagon with the generous donation from the Medway Lions. The Medway Lions Club was able to purchase the wagon thanks to the generous Bottle and Can donations that we receive each month. This is just one of the many ways the Medway Lions give back to the community as all money collected from bottles and cans stays in Medway. The Lions look forward to joining the farm in using the wagon at many events. The MCF is beyond excited for this new ride and cannot wait to debut it at Farm Fest on Saturday September 16, 2023 from 12 – 4 PM at 50 Winthrop Street.  It will be one of the many family friendly attractions at the event including a hot air balloon, kids activity center, a live band, sing along for the kids, and of course food! They will also have a beer & cider garden for those interested. 

If you are looking to try out locally grown food, the MCF offers Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) shares!  If you buy now, the share price will be prorated for the rest of the year.  This is a great way to try them now and get ready for full shares next year! Be on the lookout for information for a great fundraising event in October at Thayer House. The farm will be hosting An Autumn Night Out – a farm-to-fork event featuring locally-grown food, beer, wine, signature cocktails, a band, and more!
