Millis Public Library and Friends celebrate milestone anniversaries
The Millis Public Library held an Open House on Oct. 14, 2023, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the new library and the 40th Anniversary of the Friends of the Millis Library. Over 200 people attended the event which included a children’s book sale and concert, contests, historic memorabilia, and honored guests. Sen. Becca Rausch, Rep. James Arena-DeRosa, and Millis Select Board member Erin Underhill read official proclamations, and Oct. 14, 2023, was officially declared “Friends of the Millis Public Library Day.” Past and present Millis Library Directors, past and present Library Trustees, and members of the Friends attended as honored guests. The Friends of the Millis Public Library is a non-profit volunteer organization that raises money for library programming and capital expenditures.
