Millis United Church of Christ, 142 Exchange Street, invites the community to participate in a variety of holiday activities during the month of December. Opportunities to deepen your spiritual life and opportunities to just have fun!

Saturday, December 4th is the Jolly Holly Fair, a community favorite. Get your Christmas shopping done in a fun-filled environment. The Silent Auction is always a crowd pleaser and there will be vendors galore. Buy a raffle ticket to win the hand painted lawn Nativity Scene. Breakfast and lunch will be served.

Child-friendly worship services are offered every Sunday at 10 am. Each week will include the lighting of the Advent wreath and the addition of new hand-made ornaments to the tree.

Throughout the season folks are invited to participate in the Reverse Advent Calendar which can be found on the Church’s website www.millisucc.org or by contacting the Church office. Each day the Calendar invites you to set aside a specific item that will be donated to the Millis Food Pantry. Participants can bring items to worship each week or take advantage of the drive-by drop-off on December 23rd.

A Blue Christmas Healing Prayer service will be offered in the sanctuary on December 20th. Anyone can attend this service which is designed to give folks, who are in need of healing and/or who are not feeling too jolly, an opportunity to worship in a more personal and subdued way.  A variety of experience options and opportunities will be available but there is no obligation to participate. It is just fine to sit in the quiet of the space.

The Candlelight Christmas Eve Service which will be held in-person and on Zoom at 7 PM on December 24th. All ages are welcome. If you would like to donate a poinsettia to decorate the sanctuary, please contact the church office.

The Church is planning a family friendly New Year’s Eve party for December 31st but all the details are not worked out yet. Keep checking the website for updates.

The Millis UCC sponsored Community Education Series will return in January.
